February 28, 2013 When you live someplace as old as Albany (settled in 1614 by the Dutch) you can expect to have lots of history and we have no shortage of that! What you might not know is that some pretty common things were invented/discovered here. You may also not know we've had some famous (or infamous) people from our area too. There are plenty more than these five but these are our favorites!
