An announcement made by Albany County has been made to set up a Schenectady County Community College satellite campus in downtown Albany. Satellite campuses are set up to serve students who can’t travel far from home to attend an institution. Long story short, you’ll be able to attend SCCC without leaving Albany.

Unfortunately, this will most likely be the first of several disturbing animal cruelty cases we read about in 2013. Police officers were sent to a home on Park Avenue in Troy this morning to investigate claims of domestic disturbance. Officers were subjected to a horrifying scene as they entered the home – a badly hurt German Shepherd dog was laying on the living room floor with its hip bones protruding through its skin, unable to walk. The dog eventually had to be put down.
Nine days after that tragic Northway accident that took two young lives in Clifton Park, one of the survivors, Bailey Wind, has been released from the hospital and sat down to discuss the accident and the loss of her boyfriend, Chris Stewart.
Four teens cruising up the Northway Saturday night where involved in a major accident with two of the teens, both Clifton Park residents, losing their lives in a tragic crash that could send the accused to jail for a very long time.
Who's excited for Christmas? I know I know, we haven't even made it through Thanksgiving and I'm already bringing up Christmas, but listen- Turkey day is a week away and it seems like every store in the Albany area is loaded with X-mas gear, so- let's go ahead and get in the mood :-)
Now more than ever, every single human being should have today off, especially with two wars that most often effect all of us in some way or form. For me, my cousin and step sister both have husbands in the military with one of them serving in Afghanistan as we speak.
