I am a Troylette from the East side of the Collar City. I attended St. Lawrence University and did a study abroad in London where I first became interested in writing. After traveling around Europe for two months, I interned at The Record in Troy and got a job there after college. I've been with The Record since 2005 and have covered anything from town board meetings to fires to presidential visits. I enjoy taking/editing videos, blogging, Facebooking, I'm just getting into Tweeting, and I've been to more than two dozen countries. My favorite place so far has been Turkey, though Iceland was also very unique. When I'm not at work, I like hiking and swimming (or, in the winter, Cross Country skiing and snowshoeing). And, sometimes, just sometimes, I like to get away from everything and everyone to just go into the great outdoors to read and think.
